Responsibilities
- Build full-stack features for consumer and dealer products.
- Develop with Java, Spring Boot, React, JavaScript/TypeScript, AWS, and other technologies.
- Design systems, write maintainable code, and evolve the service-oriented architecture.
- Integrate with third-party APIs and partners.
- Participate in the full development lifecycle, including development, testing, deployment, maintenance, monitoring, and alerting.
- Collaborate with engineers, product managers, and cross-functional peers to solve product and technical challenges.
- Help establish and grow CarGurus’ Dublin engineering presence, including team culture, practices, and standards.
Requirements
- 2–5 years of hands-on professional software development experience.
- Experience building full-stack applications with Spring Boot, NextJS, Express, ASP.NET, Django, Rails, or similar frameworks.
- Ability to write clean, well-tested, efficient code and participate effectively in code reviews.
- Ability to iterate and ship ideas quickly and independently.
- Self-directed approach to finding answers and resolving blockers.
- Experience leveraging AI tools.
- AWS experience and knowledge of microservice architectures are a bonus.
