
Full Stack Software Engineer, Charles River Development, Officer
State StreetResponsibilities
- Analyze, design, develop, test, troubleshoot, and support software enhancements across Alpha and Charles River Development modules and shared frameworks.
- Develop applications and services using Java, Spring Boot, React, TypeScript/JavaScript, SQL, and related technologies.
- Investigate and resolve complex technical issues, including issues affecting mission-critical client implementations.
- Design and maintain relational database schemas, SQL queries, stored procedures, and data transformations for performance, integrity, and scalability.
- Perform code reviews, unit testing, automated testing, and manual validation to ensure quality.
- Collaborate with Business Analysts, Product Managers, customer support, and engineering teams to deliver sustainable solutions.
- Participate in Agile planning, refinement, reviews, daily coordination, and retrospectives.
- Follow enterprise development standards and contribute to improvements in engineering practices and the software development lifecycle.
Requirements
- A bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related discipline, or equivalent professional experience.
- At least 4 years of professional Java development experience, ideally including Spring Boot or a comparable modern framework.
- Two to four years of experience developing modern web applications with React and TypeScript/JavaScript.
- Strong relational database experience, including data modeling, SQL, query optimization, indexing, transactions, and performance troubleshooting.
- Experience with SQL queries, stored procedures, data transformations, object-oriented design, automated testing, and collaborative code reviews.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills and the ability to work effectively in a collaborative Agile team.
- Microsoft SQL Server experience is preferred.
- C# and .NET/.NET Core, WinForms or other desktop UI technologies, CI/CD pipelines, financial services, event-driven architectures, Dynatrace, data migration, or Azure experience is desirable.
