Responsibilities
- Develop and maintain extensible automation scripts and reusable test assets using industry best practices and techniques such as data-driven testing.
- Develop, maintain, and execute automated test suites using risk-driven techniques, including regression test suites.
- Manage version control and configuration management for test objects and test environments.
- Develop reusable functions to improve the robustness, reusability, and maintainability of test scripts.
- Contribute to automation framework design and deliver reusable, maintainable UAT automation packs.
- Work with development teams to understand and challenge application design and reuse automated test cases, test stubs, drivers, and other development test objects.
- Analyze manual UAT test cases, specifications, business processes, and requirements and convert them into automated tests.
- Participate in Agile and Scrum delivery, daily stand-ups, and end-to-end solution design and delivery.
- Communicate with stakeholders and articulate issues and risks to management in a timely manner.
- Train and mentor other team members.
- Apply critical judgment to use AI tools responsibly for productivity and workflow improvement.
Requirements
- 5+ years of relevant automation testing experience.
- Strong programming and development skills in Cucumber, Java, Kotlin, and Python.
- Experience with BDD and UI test automation using React.
- Strong database and SQL knowledge.
- Hands-on experience with data-driven, keyword-driven, or hybrid test automation frameworks.
- Strong problem-solving, debugging, analytical, verbal, and written communication skills.
- Hands-on experience maintaining regression test suites and understanding STLC and current test methodologies.
- Experience with Agile delivery and Maven, Artifactory, TeamCity, or Jenkins.
- Knowledge of data warehouse projects and programs.
- Degree or master's degree in engineering, software, or a technology-related subject, or equivalent certification and/or relevant work experience.
- Knowledge of finance, risk, treasury, investment banking, sales and trading, asset management, or related enterprise technology platforms is advantageous.
- Experience with Docker, Kubernetes, OpenShift, GCP, build and deployment, and Unix scripting is desirable.
- Ability to use AI tools to optimize workflows and solve business problems while ensuring responsible and ethical use of data and AI outputs.
