Responsibilities
- Lead and expand automation strategy for testing the core merchant acquiring platform.
- Design, write, review, and maintain automated test cases based on User Story Acceptance Criteria.
- Architect and maintain automation frameworks for batch processing systems and API-based services.
- Lead and contribute to BDD, system, regression, and end-to-end testing.
- Own test planning, requirements review, testability feedback, release readiness, defect tracking, and retesting closure.
- Drive QA standards and process improvements across the platform.
- Partner with BAs, developers, architects, and technical leaders on quality strategy and test scenarios.
- Mentor and guide QA engineers and promote technical quality ownership.
- Support responsible AI usage, data governance, secure model-output handling, performance tuning, security, and observability for AI workloads.
Requirements
- At least 3 years of software testing experience across the full test lifecycle with strong hands-on automation experience.
- Strong automation and scripting skills with hands-on Python and PyTest experience.
- Proven ability to design and build bespoke test automation frameworks and tools.
- Experience generating automated test cases from User Story Acceptance Criteria and integrating them into a BDD automation framework.
- Strong database knowledge and working experience with SQL.
- Understanding of system, regression, and end-to-end testing.
- Experience with Agile/Scrum environments and JIRA.
- Familiarity with prompt engineering, LLM-based features, or automation tools.
- Familiarity with CI/CD and SDLC tools such as Jenkins, Rundeck, or GitLab is preferred.
- Exposure to cloud environments and Docker is preferred.
- Payments, banking, or regulated fintech experience is preferred.
- Experience with AI APIs such as OpenAI, Azure AI, or AWS Bedrock is a plus.
- Mentoring experience and understanding of ethical AI, data governance, security, and AI workload observability are preferred.
