Responsibilities
- Design, develop, troubleshoot, test, and deliver secure, scalable production software solutions.
- Review and debug code written by other engineers while maintaining high standards for secure coding, peer review, and automated testing.
- Lead team adoption of enterprise-authorized AI-assisted engineering practices for coding, code review, test acceleration, troubleshooting, and root-cause analysis.
- Establish standards for validating AI-generated outputs for correctness, performance, and security, and coach engineers on responsible adoption.
- Identify and automate recurring issue remediation to improve application and system operational stability.
- Lead evaluation sessions with external vendors, startups, and internal teams concerning architecture, technical capabilities, and integration suitability.
Requirements
- Formal training or certification in software engineering concepts.
- At least 5 years of applied software engineering experience.
- Hands-on experience with system design, application development, testing, and operational stability.
- Advanced proficiency in one or more programming languages.
- Experience leading approved AI-assisted software development tools and validating their outputs for correctness, performance, and security.
- Understanding of responsible AI use, data sensitivity, secure handling of inputs and outputs, resiliency, and security expectations.
- Proficiency across the Software Development Life Cycle and advanced understanding of agile delivery practices, CI/CD, application resiliency, and security.
- In-depth knowledge of the financial services industry and its IT systems.
- Practical cloud-native experience.
- Ability to independently solve design and functionality problems with little to no oversight.
- Interest in modern development trends and emerging technologies such as AI and Machine Learning.
