Responsibilities
- Design and build core infrastructure powering Rox agents.
- Improve the reliability, scalability, and observability of distributed systems.
- Build and maintain cloud infrastructure, deployment systems, and platform tooling.
- Develop systems for real-time context ingestion and low-latency retrieval.
- Support execution frameworks for long-running agent workflows.
- Improve developer experience through automation, tooling, and self-service infrastructure.
- Partner closely with product engineers to enable rapid iteration in production environments.
- Establish engineering standards around monitoring, incident response, and operational maturity.
- Ship production systems quickly and evolve them based on real-world usage.
Requirements
- Experience building and operating production infrastructure and backend systems.
- Strong experience in cloud infrastructure, platform engineering, or distributed backend systems.
- Familiarity with Kubernetes and container orchestration.
- Experience with cloud infrastructure (AWS/GCP) and CI/CD.
- Knowledge of distributed systems and event-driven architectures.
- Understanding of observability and reliability engineering.
- Experience with real-time data or streaming systems.
- Strong intuition for reliability, scalability, latency, and operational tradeoffs.
- Comfort debugging production systems across infrastructure and application layers.
- A bias toward shipping, learning from production, and continuously improving systems.
