Responsibilities
- Establish benchmarking requirements, metrics, and strategy for FlashArray products across diverse platforms.
- Provide technical direction and mentorship to a team of engineers while ensuring timely delivery of performance results.
- Research and develop performance validation strategies for critical customer use cases in collaboration with Product Management, Solutions Engineering, and Sales Engineering.
- Analyze Linux storage and networking performance bottlenecks and oversee optimizations for throughput and latency.
- Extend product performance capabilities into cloud environments and improve product readiness and customer adoption.
Requirements
- Proven experience designing and executing system-level performance testing for enterprise-grade servers, storage, SAN protocols, and databases.
- Expert-level proficiency with Linux systems, including network configuration, storage stacks, system settings, and command-line performance-tuning utilities.
- Demonstrated ability to lead, mentor, and provide architectural direction to software and performance engineers.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with experience converting complex performance data into actionable engineering improvements.
- Knowledge of storage protocols including iSCSI, NFS, and SMB.
