Responsibilities
- Own end-to-end architecture and roadmap of the search platform.
- Contribute to improving relevance of search results through signal engineering.
- Maintain system performance and reliability to handle growing data volume.
- Collaborate with cross-functional stakeholders to drive initiatives.
- Uphold operational excellence and demonstrate user empathy.
- Build functional prototypes for internal and external use-cases.
- Mentor engineers and ensure code quality through reviews.
Requirements
- 6+ years of experience in high-level programming languages like Javascript, Python, or Java.
- Hands-on experience with search systems such as ElasticSearch or Apache Solr.
- Experience with batch and streaming pipeline orchestration using tools like Apache Kafka.
- Strength in AI, Natural Language Processing, or Recommendation Systems.
- Strong fundamentals in Computer Science, including algorithms and networking.
- Ability to write testable and maintainable code following SOLID principles.
- Excellent communication skills to articulate technical concepts.
