Base Salary
$210k - $275k/yr
Responsibilities
- Define system architecture for AI-native product surfaces, including generation pipelines, data models, and evaluation frameworks.
- Drive technical strategy and cross-team initiatives spanning product, AI, and infrastructure teams.
- Establish best practices for AI product engineering, including evaluation, reliability, iteration loops, and system design.
- Translate ambiguous opportunities into scalable technical approaches, product direction, and execution plans.
- Influence engineering quality, system design, product thinking, and AI-assisted development practices across the organization.
- Partner with product, design, and AI teams to identify opportunities, prototype approaches, and guide them into production.
Requirements
- 10+ years of experience building and scaling complex systems.
- Strong track record owning technical and product direction for large or ambiguous problem spaces.
- Deep expertise in system design, especially data-intensive or distributed systems.
- Experience leading cross-team initiatives and influencing without direct authority.
- Strong product intuition with the ability to balance user experience, system constraints, and business impact.
- Comfort operating with significant ambiguity and defining both problems and solutions.
- Preferred: experience building or experimenting with LLM-powered features, including prompting, evaluation, or RAG.
- Preferred: experience designing systems that balance latency, cost, and quality, plus exposure to user feedback loops, experimentation, or evaluation frameworks.
