Base Salary
$159k - $254k/yr
Responsibilities
- Lead complex software engineering initiatives and design, develop, test, implement, document, and support applications and system components.
- Build low-latency real-time micro UIs and front-office trading applications for fixed-income trading, pricing, and risk management.
- Lead code quality, pull request reviews, testing, DevOps practices, application stability, monitoring, and risk and regulatory compliance activities.
- Resolve technically challenging coding, testing, platform, and escalated production issues.
- Collaborate with business partners, stakeholders, managers, cross-functional teams, production support, and platform engineering teams.
- Mentor less experienced software engineers and provide technical consultation and support.
- Research complex technical issues, recommend process improvements, and help achieve team and business objectives.
Requirements
- 5+ years of specialty software engineering experience or equivalent demonstrated through work experience, training, military experience, or education.
- 3+ years of experience developing and supporting front-office trading applications.
- 5+ years of experience with HTML5, JavaScript, CSS, TypeScript, Angular or React, JSON, REST, and XML.
- 5+ years of experience building real-time UIs using web sockets.
- 2+ years of experience using headless web containers such as OpenFin, Glue42, or Finsemble.
- Preferred experience with Apache Tomcat, IIS, nginx, Selenium, Chrome DevTools, and performance or stress testing of web UIs.
- Knowledge of capital-markets fixed-income domains, including bond pricing, bond risk, bond PnL, position management, trade lifecycle, and end-of-day marking.
