Base Salary
$143k - $275k/yr
Responsibilities
- Lead cross-disciplinary collaboration among design, research, product, program management, engineering, marketing, sales, and other partners.
- Influence ideation and strategic decisions for complex product experiences by synthesizing user needs, business requirements, and technical constraints.
- Develop and scale functional prototypes, front-end solutions, technical tooling, design components, and reusable interface systems.
- Own significant contributions to secure codebases, design systems, themes, controls, animation libraries, utilities, and related engineering practices.
- Drive accessibility, performance, reusability, optimization, privacy, and secure-by-design principles across design and engineering processes.
- Guide design reviews, code-quality and security reviews, validation documentation, backlog prioritization, sprint management, and end-to-end product delivery.
- Provide technical leadership, mentorship, team oversight, stakeholder guidance, and candidate interviewing and screening.
- Advance collaboration between design and engineering and influence organization-wide technical decisions and best practices.
Requirements
- Master’s degree in computer science, software engineering, graphic design, product design, visual design, human-computer interaction, or a related field plus 4+ years of relevant experience; bachelor’s degree plus 6+ years; or 8+ years of relevant experience or equivalent experience.
- At least 6 years of experience working in product or service design and/or shipping production code.
- At least 6 years of experience shipping production-ready code through collaborative processes.
- Preferred experience owning or leading a design system used by multiple product teams, including versioning, migration, and theming architecture.
- Preferred experience building AI development infrastructure for design work, such as MCP servers, model-integrated prototyping workflows, or internal code-based design platforms.
- Preferred experience designing or building AI product surfaces, including assistants, agents, or generative user interfaces.
- Preferred experience working in a design and research studio across multiple engineering organizations.
- Preferred 2+ years using AI-integrated design tools and design-to-code workflows from design files to running interfaces.
