Base Salary
$228k - $240k/yr
Responsibilities
- Provide strategic direction and ownership for platform architecture, data ingestion, and normalization supporting a scalable search and transaction experience.
- Independently define and lead complex technical projects across the full stack.
- Establish reliability KPIs, service-health accountability, and architectural improvements that reduce technical debt, manual toil, and infrastructure costs.
- Adopt and operationalize software patterns involving AI, data pipelines, telemetry systems, automated workflows, and scalable decoupled systems.
- Deliver modular, reusable, fault-tolerant, highly available, well-tested, and eventually consistent systems.
- Collaborate with product, design, and multiple engineering teams to identify and deliver customer-focused solutions.
- Inspire, recruit, mentor, and share knowledge with fellow engineers.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or equivalent practical experience.
- 10+ years of experience developing comprehensive, well-tested, and high-performance software applications with TypeScript, JavaScript, and HTML/CSS.
- 5+ years of experience with React and Node.js.
- 3+ years of experience using AWS or other cloud technologies.
- Demonstrated technical leadership with cross-team impact and strong software architecture and development best practices.
- Strong attention to product design, usability, detail, critical thinking, communication, and operational excellence.
- Familiarity with continuous integration and delivery pipelines, containerization, and Agile/Scrum methodologies.
- Backend programming experience with Java, Golang, or Python is preferred.
- Experience with Kafka, event-driven systems, gRPC, Thrift, or other server-to-server communication protocols is preferred.

- Base pay range is $228,000–$240,000, with possible bonuses and restricted stock units excluded from the base salary.
