Responsibilities
- Own software architecture, technical roadmaps, solution designs, and delivery priorities for assigned products.
- Design end-to-end cloud applications spanning user interfaces, services, APIs, workflows, integrations, data access, infrastructure, and operations.
- Create reusable architecture patterns, engineering standards, and architecture decision records.
- Guide microservices, serverless, asynchronous, event-driven, domain-aligned, and bounded-context designs using AWS managed services.
- Define secure and scalable REST and GraphQL API strategies, including authentication, versioning, reliability, and lifecycle management.
- Provide architectural direction for web applications using .NET, C#, ASP.NET Core, TypeScript, Angular, and React.
- Address availability, performance, accessibility, observability, recoverability, security, privacy, and cost efficiency as non-functional requirements.
- Partner with security and platform teams on identity, authorization, encryption, secrets, tenant isolation, network controls, threat modeling, and compliance.
- Influence CI/CD, automated testing, infrastructure as code, releases, monitoring, and production support practices.
- Lead architecture reviews and proofs of concept, document recommendations, coach engineers and technical leads, and resolve design challenges.
Requirements
- Significant software engineering experience with recent architecture or technical leadership responsibility in AWS-based product environments.
- Demonstrated success designing and delivering cloud-native SaaS platforms, multi-tenant applications, or complex enterprise software products.
- Strong hands-on knowledge of .NET, C#, ASP.NET Core, TypeScript, and modern front-end development with Angular or React.
- Deep understanding of distributed systems, microservices, domain-driven design, event-driven architecture, serverless computing, and API design.
- Practical experience with AWS services including Lambda, API Gateway, ECS, EKS, S3, Aurora, RDS, DynamoDB, SQS, SNS, EventBridge, and CloudWatch.
- Experience designing for relational and NoSQL databases, including data-access patterns, performance, and transactional boundaries.
- Experience with Docker, container orchestration, and infrastructure as code using Terraform, AWS CDK, or CloudFormation.
- Strong understanding of secure software design, automated delivery, application testing, monitoring, tracing, and production support.
- Ability to communicate architecture choices and trade-offs to engineers, product leaders, business stakeholders, and senior decision-makers.
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related discipline, or equivalent professional experience.
