Base Salary
$143k - $243k/yr
Responsibilities
- Lead technical design and delivery of frontend features and platform components using JavaScript, React.js, and TypeScript.
- Define frontend architecture patterns, reusable component libraries, shared conventions, and engineering standards.
- Integrate applications with backend services through GraphQL APIs and RESTful endpoints.
- Use Node.js for build tooling, server-side rendering, and frontend-adjacent service development.
- Mentor frontend engineers and guide implementation practices, code quality, code reviews, and testing standards.
- Analyze existing frontend codebases and lead migrations to the modernized React-based architecture.
- Collaborate with product managers, designers, backend engineers, data engineers, and other engineering teams on requirements, APIs, data contracts, and technical direction.
- Evaluate AI-assisted development tools for code review, test generation, and debugging while maintaining code quality and engineering judgment.
- Support build, release, and deployment activities using Jenkins or Harness pipelines and AWS hosting services.
- Contribute to sprint planning, technical roadmaps, capacity estimation, design reviews, onboarding, documentation, and developer-experience improvements.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related technical field, or equivalent practical experience.
- Six years of professional frontend software development experience, including technical leadership or lead engineering experience.
- Deep proficiency with JavaScript and TypeScript in large-scale production frontend environments.
- Extensive experience building component-driven React.js applications, including state management, performance optimization, and design system integration.
- Working knowledge of Node.js for build tooling, server-side rendering, or frontend-adjacent service development.
- Hands-on experience with GraphQL for client-side data fetching, API design, and backend integration.
- Experience leading technical design, conducting code reviews, and establishing engineering standards within a team.
- Preferred exposure to Perl, Oracle, AWS, Jenkins, and/or Harness.
- Experience with Agile software development practices, including sprint planning, retrospectives, and iterative delivery.
- Ability to communicate technical concepts across engineering, product, and design teams in a hybrid work environment.
