Base Salary
$146k - $225k/yr
Responsibilities
- Break larger projects into tasks, deliver work in multiple phases, and collaborate with teammates to ensure timely delivery.
- Design, develop, launch, and maintain backend systems supporting post-transaction customer account accuracy and issue resolution.
- Collaborate with product management, design, analytics, compliance, and cross-functional partner teams on technical decisions, risks, and trade-offs.
- Create and monitor metrics, escalate issues, and support system availability, operational maintenance, and on-call efforts.
- Participate in team growth and development activities, including interviewing.
- Navigate large codebases, debug code, write well-tested and extensible code, and provide code review feedback.
Requirements
- At least 1.5 years of software engineering experience.
- Experience designing, developing, and launching backend systems.
- Proficiency in Python or Kotlin.
- Familiarity with distributed systems, AWS, MySQL, and Kubernetes.
- Ability to translate business problems into solutions spanning multiple software components.
- Ability to write clear, understandable, well-tested, and extensible code.
- Experience navigating large codebases, debugging code, and conducting code reviews.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills.
- A Bachelor’s degree in a related field or equivalent practical experience.
