Responsibilities
- Break larger engineering projects into tasks, deliver work in phases, and collaborate with teammates for timely completion.
- Design, develop, and launch backend systems supporting post-transaction customer account resolution and communications.
- Collaborate with product management, design, analytics, compliance, and cross-functional partner teams on product decisions, constraints, risks, and trade-offs.
- Create and monitor operational metrics, escalate issues, and support system availability, keep-the-lights-on work, and on-call efforts.
- Navigate large codebases, debug code, write clear and extensible software, and participate in code reviews.
- Contribute to team growth and development, including participating in the interview process.
Requirements
- At least 1.5 years of experience as a software engineer.
- Experience designing, developing, and launching backend systems.
- Proficiency in Python or Kotlin.
- Familiarity with distributed systems, AWS, MySQL, and Kubernetes.
- Ability to translate business scenarios into solutions spanning multiple software components and produce well-tested, maintainable code.
- Bachelor’s degree in a related field or equivalent practical experience.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills and a demonstrated commitment to professional growth.
