Base Salary
$196k - $245k/yr
Responsibilities
- Lead the cloud infrastructure platform strategy and roadmap across engineering teams.
- Serve as the principal authority on platform architecture and engineering standards.
- Define reference architectures and reusable infrastructure models.
- Collaborate with product and engineering leadership to integrate infrastructure early in the solution lifecycle.
- Ensure the security of the cloud infrastructure platform in partnership with the security team.
- Define and enforce cloud governance policies and architectural guardrails.
- Manage FinOps methods related to the cloud platform.
- Build and maintain production-quality internal platform tooling across Azure and AWS.
- Assess and incorporate new infrastructure technologies.
- Proactively resolve technical conflicts and lead technical build reviews.
- Mentor engineers and participate in the hiring process.
Requirements
- Hands-on proficiency in Infrastructure as Code, especially Terraform.
- Strong software engineering skills in Python, Go, PowerShell, and/or Bash.
- Proven experience in cloud security and governance in a regulated environment.
- Experience leading FinOps practices and communicating findings to leadership.
- Track record of defining and accomplishing multi-quarter infrastructure roadmaps.
- Experience as a principal technical authority and setting engineering standards.
- Excellent communication and influencing skills.
- Experience in on-call rotations and applying that exposure to guide platform decisions.
- Strong mentorship and talent development skills.
- Ideally, experience in financial services or a highly regulated industry.
