Base Salary

$138k - $185k/yr

Responsibilities

  • Design, develop, troubleshoot, and deliver secure, scalable software solutions across multiple technical areas.
  • Write high-quality production code, review and debug code written by others, and support testing and operational stability.
  • Lead team adoption of authorized AI-assisted engineering practices for coding, code review, testing, troubleshooting, and root-cause analysis.
  • Establish validation standards for AI-assisted outputs, including correctness, performance, secure coding, peer review, and automated testing.
  • Identify and automate remediation of recurring issues to improve application and system stability.
  • Lead evaluation sessions with vendors, startups, and internal teams to assess architectural designs and technical applicability.

Requirements

  • Formal software engineering training or certification and at least 3 years of applied experience.
  • Hands-on experience delivering complex distributed system design, application development, testing, and operational stability.
  • Advanced proficiency in Java and practical experience designing, building, and deploying applications on Amazon Web Services.
  • Advanced knowledge of Spring Boot and Kafka.
  • Experience interacting directly with technology and business stakeholders.
  • Experience leading approved AI-assisted software development practices and validating AI outputs for correctness, performance, and security.
  • Understanding of responsible AI use, data sensitivity, secure input and output handling, resiliency, security expectations, and compliant engineering workflows.
  • Advanced understanding of agile methodologies, CI/CD, application resiliency, security, and financial-services IT systems.
  • Preferred: basic or intermediate Python knowledge and experience with Snowflake or DataBricks.
