Responsibilities
- Design, develop, and optimize modules for pooled storage, big data file storage, message queues, cache storage, object storage, block storage, file storage, and log services.
- Enhance distributed storage systems for stability, functionality, performance, elasticity, and cost efficiency based on business requirements.
- Drive project execution, write detailed design documents, and own module implementation, performance tuning, and functional testing.
- Provide technical support for online applications and identify optimization opportunities from production issues.
- Participate in deployment, on-call operations, and site reliability engineering for the US storage team.
- Research storage technologies and resolve system bottlenecks affecting cluster stability and performance.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree or above in Computer Science or a related field.
- Strong C++ coding skills and commitment to code quality.
- Solid understanding of distributed systems principles.
- Hands-on experience with HDFS, Ceph, Kafka, or equivalent in-house distributed storage systems.
- Ability to independently identify and solve problems and quickly ramp up in unfamiliar technical domains.
- Strong teamwork and communication skills.
- Preferred: experience with NVMe, SPDK/DPDK, RocksDB, metadata technologies, large-scale high-IOPS and high-throughput systems, degraded-mode handling, AI storage, KV cache optimization, multi-tier caching, model distribution and loading, and Linux performance tuning.
