Responsibilities
- Design, develop, code, debug, and troubleshoot secure software components and applications.
- Write high-quality code using at least one programming language with limited guidance.
- Use enterprise-authorized AI coding and development tools for code generation, refactoring, testing, troubleshooting, and documentation, while validating outputs.
- Consider upstream and downstream systems and technical implications when developing solutions.
- Apply software development life cycle tools, processes, and automation capabilities.
- Analyze large and diverse datasets to identify problems and support secure, stable application development.
- Develop and maintain secure, stable systems while addressing technical problems of basic complexity.
Requirements
- Formal training or certification in software engineering concepts and at least two years of applied experience for the specified regions.
- Hands-on experience in system design, application development, testing, and operational stability.
- Experience developing, debugging, and maintaining code in a large corporate environment using modern programming and database querying languages.
- Hands-on experience with enterprise-authorized AI-assisted software development tools and the ability to critically evaluate their outputs.
- Understanding of responsible AI use, data sensitivity, secure input and output handling, resiliency, security, and governance expectations.
- Experience across the full software development life cycle.
- Exposure to agile methodologies, CI/CD, application resiliency, and security.
- Preferred: experience adopting AI-native engineering practices at team or organizational scale.
- Preferred: experience leading adoption of agentic AI-enabled engineering practices, defining quality controls, measuring outcomes, and securing sensitive inputs and outputs.
- Preferred: ability to influence leaders on responsible AI scaling and reuse patterns.
- Preferred: track record of reducing operational toil and cost through automation and improved engineering.
