Responsibilities
- Lead complex technology initiatives, including companywide projects with broad impact.
- Design, code, test, debug, document, and review complex large-scale technology solutions.
- Define engineering standards, technical strategy, architecture roadmaps, and companywide best practices.
- Design and deliver large-scale distributed systems and cloud-native platforms.
- Lead technical initiatives across multiple teams, influence stakeholders, and drive delivery.
- Address scalability, reliability, performance optimization, security architecture, observability, incident management, and operational excellence.
- Lead projects and teams or serve as a peer mentor while developing engineering talent and culture.
Requirements
- 5+ years of software engineering experience or equivalent demonstrated through work experience, training, military experience, or education.
- Deep expertise in Golang, Python, or .NET.
- Experience designing and delivering large-scale distributed systems and cloud-native platforms.
- Expert-level knowledge of Kubernetes/OpenShift, container orchestration, platform engineering, and production operations.
- Extensive experience with AWS, Azure, or GCP and cloud architecture patterns.
- Strong expertise in system design, scalability, reliability, performance optimization, and security architecture.
- Advanced experience with CI/CD, GitOps, infrastructure as code such as Terraform and Ansible, and developer productivity tooling.
- Understanding of testing strategies, automated quality gates, architecture reviews, and SDLC best practices.
- Experience defining technical strategy, architecture roadmaps, and engineering standards.
- Ability to lead technical initiatives, influence stakeholders, and drive delivery across multiple teams.
- Strong mentoring and leadership skills, including experience growing engineering talent and fostering engineering culture.
- Experience with platform observability, SRE practices, incident management, and operational excellence.
