Senior ML Operations (MLOps) Engineer
Eight SleepResponsibilities
- Design and operate robust ML infrastructure and scalable data, model, and deployment pipelines.
- Integrate cutting-edge ML technologies into products and processes for health monitoring.
- Ensure reliable delivery of ML models to production and dependable ML inference across the Pod fleet.
- Collaborate with R&D, firmware, data, and backend teams.
- Optimize compute, storage, deployment resources, performance, latency, and cloud costs across training and inference.
- Develop tooling, microservices, and frameworks for data processing, experimentation, and deployment.
- Support telemetry, monitoring, and feedback loops for production ML systems.
- Communicate clearly and directly in a remote work environment.
Requirements
- 5+ years of software engineering experience focused on ML infrastructure, distributed systems, or large-scale data processing in Python.
- Hands-on experience with ML workflow orchestration and CI/CD pipelines for model deployment.
- Experience shipping ML models to production at scale, including telemetry, monitoring, and feedback loops across device fleets or user populations.
- Strong experience with AWS services such as Lambda, ECS, DynamoDB, and CloudWatch, or equivalent cloud platforms.
- Preferred experience with real-time ML workflows and streaming systems such as Kinesis, Kafka, or Flink.
- Preferred experience optimizing ML infrastructure for efficiency, latency, and cloud cost at scale.
- Preferred understanding of secure ML operations, privacy practices, and compliance considerations for health-related or IoT data.
- Familiarity with health, wellness, IoT, wearables, or medical-grade devices is preferred.
- Ability to work collaboratively and iteratively in a fast-paced environment.
