Responsibilities
- Implement new software, applications, and packaging for the Cyber Division.
- Analyse requirements, design, implement, and unit test software code and supporting artefacts.
- Lead software or application development activities when required.
- Plan and undertake installations across development, test, reference, and operational environments.
- Automate software and environmental builds and maintain provisioning and operational automation frameworks.
- Manage software configuration, source repositories, change control, and release management.
- Implement and maintain continuous integration and build pipelines where appropriate.
- Support data engineering activities including data cleansing, integration, and onward analytics.
- Provide application support for deployed services and contribute to Cyber Division efficiency improvements.
- Take ownership of DevSecOps engineering delivery for work packages, including planning, estimation, execution, and progress reporting.
Requirements
- Demonstrable experience performing a similar DevSecOps or software engineering role.
- Broad knowledge and experience of mainstream IT infrastructure services and components.
- Experience with source control management, including Git and Azure DevSecOps.
- Experience with Linux and Windows scripting and automation tools such as PowerShell and Ansible.
- Understanding of software development and deployment, configuration management, continuous integration, build pipelines, change control, and release management.
- Experience or knowledge of Agile, Scrum, BDD, and TDD practices.
- Strong communication, analytical, problem-solving, logical, adaptable, and collaborative skills.
- Preferred experience with C#, .NET, SharePoint, SQL, Apache technologies, Python, HTML, CSS, JavaScript, XML, SOAP, secure DevSecOps, SAFe, Docker, Kubernetes, and Kubeflow.
- Software development capability and willingness to learn new technologies.
- Eligibility for full security clearance.
