Responsibilities

  • Translate technical and operational customer requirements into system designs using established templates and documentation standards.
  • Configure and adapt backend components, including workflows, customer-specific data, flight separation rules, and data distribution.
  • Configure frontend components such as electronic flight strips and feature-based HMI elements.
  • Implement customer-specific system logic using JavaScript.
  • Design and implement automated tests using Python.
  • Test and verify system configurations with simulated operational data in development environments and deployed setups.
  • Participate in occasional on-site acceptance tests at customer locations.
  • Plan, manage, and deliver assigned work packages independently.
  • Analyze reported issues and implement appropriate fixes.
  • Act as the technical link between customer-side data engineers and internal software development teams.
  • Develop knowledge leadership for selected focus areas.

Requirements

  • Completed technical college (HTL), studies in Computer Science at a technical university or university of applied sciences, or relevant work experience.
  • Solid understanding of software, systems, and networks.
  • Mandatory skills in Linux, Bash, Python, and JavaScript.
  • C++, Docker or Podman, and Microsoft Azure are advantageous.
  • Knowledge of air traffic control procedures is beneficial.
  • Fluent English is required; German is beneficial.
  • Willingness to travel approximately 25% to international airports and customer locations.
  • Motivation for aviation and customer-facing project work, with a self-driven, independent, and collaborative working style.
