Responsibilities
- Collaborate across functions to maintain a fleet of thousands of Apple devices.
- Improve the functionality, observability, scalability, availability, usability, security, and performance of services and infrastructure.
- Adapt cloud technologies and industry best practices to solve challenges unique to Apple workloads.
- Triage, investigate, and remediate production issues.
- Design and work with web services, distributed systems, networking, device-centric APIs, and complex overlay networks.
Requirements
- Have in-depth software development experience and a passion for software engineering.
- Have experience designing or working with web services such as HTTP and JSON-based services and gRPC.
- Understand networks and networking protocols.
- Have experience with or interest in Go.
- Be able to troubleshoot distributed systems and networking issues.
- Preferred experience includes Golang, Swift, C, C++, Objective-C, Python, Java, Scala, shell, protobuf, gRPC, Kubernetes, Docker, Envoy proxy, Ansible, Pkl, WebDriver, and IoT or embedded development.
