Responsibilities
- Analyze, develop, debug, test, and maintain Java/J2SE/J2EE applications.
- Build and deploy applications to test and J2EE servers.
- Provide L3 application support and technical solutions for production issues.
- Support interfaces between the application and other systems.
- Develop test cases, test evaluation reports, and release notes.
- Support unit, system integration testing (SIT), and user acceptance testing (UAT).
- Apply development practices supporting scalability, availability, maintainability, and flexibility.
- Work flexible non-standard hours when required.
Requirements
- At least 6 years of IT experience as a Java Developer.
- Strong experience with Java/J2EE technologies and the Spring Framework.
- Experience with microservices and writing Oracle SQL queries and stored procedures.
- Hands-on experience testing APIs with tools such as JUnit and using build tools such as Maven.
- Hands-on experience with source code control, preferably GitHub.
- Experience with basic UNIX/Linux commands and scripting.
- Understanding of object-oriented principles.
- Preferred experience with continuous integration tools including GitHub Actions, Jenkins, or TeamCity.
- Preferred experience with ORM tools such as Hibernate or MyBatis and REST services using Spring.
- Preferred experience with batch technologies such as Control-M, Autosys, or Cron.
- Preferred experience with J2EE/J2SE design patterns, SDLC processes, Angular, and UI/UX development and prototyping.
- Financial or banking domain knowledge is advantageous.
- Experience using AI tools to improve development productivity and workflows, with responsible judgment regarding data and AI outputs.
