Responsibilities
- Develop, maintain, and optimize critical banking applications in mainframe environments.
- Ensure application stability, quality, performance, and compliance with standards.
- Develop and support COBOL applications, batch processes, JCL, CICS transactions, DB2, and SQL.
- Manage version control and code promotion processes, ideally using Endevor.
- Work with batch scheduling and operational tools such as Control-M and CA-7.
- Use development, collaboration, and service-management tools including IBM Developer for z/OS, Eclipse, Git, ServiceNow, Jira, Azure DevOps, and Confluence.
- Automate processes and use AI-assisted development tools where appropriate.
Requirements
- Experience with COBOL, BATCH/JCL, CICS, DB2, SQL, and IBM z/OS.
- Experience developing and maintaining banking systems or other critical systems.
- Experience with code version control and promotion; Endevor is preferred.
- Experience with batch processes and tools such as Control-M or CA-7.
- Desirable experience with agile methodologies or Scrum, process automation, technical English, and ChatGPT, Gemini, or GitHub Copilot.
- Availability for a hybrid role in Mexico City during Monday-to-Friday, 9:00 a.m. to 6:00 p.m. hours.
