Responsibilities
- Architect the backbone of onboard software integrity by building critical infrastructure and tooling.
- Develop a deep understanding of onboard system architecture, focusing on non-determinism and numerical fidelity.
- Understand low-level differences in computation outputs due to hardware and compiler changes.
- Automate measurement and develop metrics for computational stability across platforms.
- Collaborate across Waymo to streamline integrity workflows for business-critical operations.
Requirements
- BS/MS in Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, Robotics, Physics, Math, or related field.
- Experience in C++ or Python, building scalable pipelines and tooling.
- Experience with models of numerical fidelity and hardware impact on computation outputs.
- Understanding of fundamental statistical concepts and their real-world applications.
- Experience in organizing chaos across organizational boundaries.
