Responsibilities
- Design, develop, maintain, and optimize scalable backend services using Python and AWS Lambda.
- Build and maintain RESTful APIs for cloud-based applications and integrations.
- Analyze existing systems, business requirements, and technical documentation to implement solutions independently.
- Debug, troubleshoot, optimize, and support production systems.
- Develop software according to established architectural standards and engineering best practices.
- Collaborate with frontend engineers to deliver reliable APIs and end-to-end functionality.
- Contribute to frontend development using Vue.js and TypeScript.
- Participate in code reviews and proactively identify technical risks, architectural concerns, blockers, and improvement opportunities.
- Collaborate with architects, product owners, and engineering teams to clarify requirements and support successful implementation.
- Communicate technical concepts effectively and contribute to continuous improvement initiatives.
Requirements
- 6+ years of professional experience as a Full Stack Engineer, Backend Engineer, or Software Engineer.
- Strong professional experience with Python, RESTful APIs, AWS Lambda, and MongoDB.
- Experience contributing to frontend development using Vue.js, TypeScript, and modern frontend frameworks.
- Strong understanding of software architecture, layered application design, and software engineering best practices.
- Strong debugging, troubleshooting, production support, analytical, and problem-solving skills.
- Experience with Git and Agile development methodologies.
- Ability to independently understand existing codebases, business requirements, and technical documentation and make sound technical decisions.
- Strong collaboration and communication skills.
- Advanced English proficiency.
- Bachelor’s degree in computer science, Software Engineering, Computer Engineering, or a related field is desired, or equivalent professional experience.
- Nice-to-have experience with AWS API Gateway, Serverless Framework or AWS SAM, Auth0 or Amazon Cognito, WebSockets or other real-time communication protocols, and JetBrains IDEs including PyCharm or IntelliJ.
