Senior Software Engineer I, AI/ML

Responsibilities
- Own the end-to-end design and delivery of agents, copilots, and small platform services with limited guidance.
- Build agentic systems involving orchestration, tool use, retrieval, memory and state, and evaluations.
- Define evaluations, regression tests, and observability for shipped systems and participate in on-call and incident response.
- Contribute to the internal AI platform, including agent runtimes, model access and routing, Model Context Protocol tool interfaces, and developer tooling.
- Partner with business stakeholders to understand workflows, scope problems, and deliver measurable solutions.
- Mentor early-career engineers through code review, pairing, and design feedback while maintaining a high quality bar.
Requirements
- Roughly 4+ years of software engineering experience and a track record of owning and shipping production features or services.
- Hands-on experience building LLM-powered applications, including retrieval-augmented generation, agents, tool use, and prompt design.
- Working knowledge of evaluation and LLMOps practices, including prompt and agent versioning, regression testing, and observability for non-deterministic outputs.
- Familiarity with orchestration frameworks such as LangGraph, CrewAI, AutoGen, or Semantic Kernel; Model Context Protocol tooling; vector stores; and runtime guardrails.
- Proficiency in at least one production language: Python, Go, TypeScript, or Java.
- Comfort with modern cloud-native infrastructure, including containers, Kubernetes or serverless, CI/CD, and observability stacks.
- Ability to explain technical trade-offs to technical and non-technical stakeholders and collaborate across time zones.
- Preferred experience integrating enterprise systems, contributing to internal developer platforms or productivity tooling, or using agent evaluation and observability tools such as LangFuse, Arize, Braintrust, LangSmith, or OpenTelemetry-based tracing.
