Responsibilities
- Own the end-to-end design and delivery of agents, copilots, small services, and AI platform components with limited guidance.
- Build agentic systems with orchestration, tool use, retrieval, memory and state, and evaluations.
- Define evaluations, regression tests, and observability and participate in on-call and incident response.
- Contribute to agent runtimes, model access and routing, Model Context Protocol tool interfaces, and internal developer tooling.
- Partner with business stakeholders to scope workflows and deliver measurable solutions.
- Mentor early-career engineers through code review, pairing, and design feedback.
Requirements
- Roughly 4+ years of software engineering experience with a record of owning and shipping production features or services.
- Hands-on experience building LLM-powered applications, including retrieval-augmented generation, agents, tool use, and prompt design.
- Working knowledge of evaluation and LLMOps practices, including prompt and agent versioning, regression testing, and observability for non-deterministic outputs.
- Familiarity with orchestration frameworks such as LangGraph, CrewAI, AutoGen, or Semantic Kernel; Model Context Protocol tooling; vector stores; and runtime guardrails.
- Proficiency in at least one production language: Python, Go, TypeScript, or Java.
- Comfort with containers, Kubernetes or serverless infrastructure, CI/CD, and observability stacks.
- Ability to communicate technical trade-offs to technical and non-technical stakeholders and collaborate across time zones.
- Experience integrating enterprise systems and contributing to internal developer platforms or productivity tooling is a bonus.
- Experience with agent evaluation and observability tooling such as LangFuse, Arize, Braintrust, LangSmith, or OpenTelemetry-based tracing is a bonus.
