Base Salary

$115k - $280k/yr

Responsibilities

  • Build and operate product and company infrastructure spanning PostgreSQL, GCP, data systems, developer tooling, security foundations, and agent infrastructure.
  • Own platform projects from discovery through production rollout to improve developer velocity, reliability, or scalability.
  • Plan and execute production database and GCP changes with safe migration, validation, observability, and rollback practices.
  • Build shared infrastructure for internal and customer-facing agentic systems, including evaluations, harnesses, sandboxes, loops, interfaces, and operational tooling.
  • Establish feedback loops with internal platform customers and use them to guide platform improvements.
  • Drive a platform roadmap based on internal customer needs, codebase-wide opportunities, and quality, security, and scalability standards.
  • Deliver substantial improvements to database, cloud, data, or developer infrastructure and support broader engineering adoption.
  • Raise infrastructure engineering standards through clear design, careful migration planning, and production ownership.

Requirements

  • Hands-on experience building and operating production platform or infrastructure systems with PostgreSQL and GCP.
  • Experience planning and running migrations at scale with validation, observability, and rollback strategies.
  • Ability to improve the broader codebase, developer experience, and internal tooling through platform work.
  • Ability to collaborate empathetically with engineering and non-engineering teams as platform customers.
  • Ability to balance rapid execution with quality, scalability, security, and operational standards.
  • Comfort building interfaces and supporting product surfaces that make infrastructure useful to internal teams.
  • Security-minded approach to access, data handling, failure modes, and operational risk.
  • Experience building infrastructure for agentic systems, such as evaluations, agent loops, harnesses, or sandboxes, is a bonus.
  • Application or infrastructure security experience is a bonus.
  • Financial products or systems experience involving auditability and data integrity is a bonus.
