Responsibilities
- Develop backend applications and services using Java and Spring Boot for clinical result workflows.
- Build and maintain scalable services, APIs, and integrations with internal platforms and external data services.
- Implement cloud-based solutions on AWS with attention to reliability, security, and maintainability.
- Collaborate with engineers and product partners to translate requirements into technical solutions.
- Troubleshoot application issues, identify root causes, and improve performance and stability.
- Participate in code reviews, automated testing, sprint planning, backlog refinement, and estimation.
- Document technical designs, API contracts, and service dependencies.
- Support deployments, release validation, production monitoring, and CI/CD automation.
- Partner with adjacent teams and share knowledge through technical discussions and walkthroughs.
- Use AI tools to support development, debugging, and testing while validating their outputs.
Requirements
- 2 to 4 years of software engineering experience in backend or related application development.
- Hands-on experience with Java, Spring Boot, and service-based architectures.
- Working knowledge of AWS, RESTful APIs, and relational databases.
- Strong fundamentals in object-oriented design, testing, debugging, and version control.
- Experience working in Agile teams and collaborating across functions.
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Information Technology, or a related field, or equivalent relevant experience.
- React, TypeScript, or healthcare data standards such as FHIR experience is a plus.
- Strong problem-solving skills and clear communication.
