Responsibilities
- Define and unify control software architecture for air conditioning, refrigeration, and chiller equipment and controllers.
- Establish maintenance and operational rules for the software architecture.
- Drive model-based development initiatives and clarify their relationship to the new architecture.
- Coordinate model-based development alignment across related departments.
- Standardize development processes and design criteria for model-based development and the new architecture.
- Develop a product application roadmap for the new architecture in partnership with Product Management.
- Lead interdisciplinary and intercultural project collaboration and mentor, train, and coach team members.
Requirements
- At least 10 years of practical experience in embedded software development.
- Experience developing embedded software and control systems.
- Experience designing and communalizing software architecture.
- Experience with model-based development using MATLAB/Simulink.
- Master's degree, bachelor's degree, or equivalent in electrical, electronic, or information-related fields.
- At least 5 years of collaboration experience with multicultural and multidisciplinary teams.
- Strong knowledge of model-based development, software architecture, refactoring, platformization, and communalization.
- Knowledge of software development lifecycles and project implementation methodologies such as DevOps and Agile is a plus.
- Knowledge of thermodynamics, energy, and HVAC systems is a plus.
- Basic commercial and financial understanding is a plus.
- Strong analytical, logical, presentation, communication, stakeholder-management, and leadership skills, including English and Japanese proficiency.
