Base Salary

$120k - $170k/yr

Responsibilities

  • Design, develop, and maintain high-performance software systems and features primarily in Go for global streaming services.
  • Build reliable and testable services supporting VOD, live events, linear channels, dynamic ad insertion, and manifest manipulation.
  • Participate in code reviews and contribute to architecture, technical direction, and engineering best practices.
  • Partner with Site Reliability Engineering to build highly available, resilient, performant, and fault-tolerant systems.
  • Use metrics, logs, traces, observability tooling, and performance analytics for proactive issue detection and root-cause analysis.
  • Contribute to multi-CDN strategies, routing logic, and content-origin workflows.
  • Collaborate with distributed engineering teams across the US, UK, EU, and Africa and maintain clear technical documentation.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or a related field, or equivalent professional experience.
  • At least 3 years of professional software engineering experience with hands-on Go development preferred, or Python experience.
  • Experience deploying and operating applications in cloud environments such as AWS, GCP, or Azure with Docker and Kubernetes.
  • Experience with Git-based repositories, automated testing frameworks, and build pipelines.
  • Understanding of Site Reliability Engineering concepts including SLIs, SLOs, auto-scaling, distributed-systems reliability, or incident response.
  • Familiarity with Scrum or Kanban development methodologies.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills for design communication and distributed collaboration.
  • Preferred experience with CDNs such as Akamai, CloudFront, Fastly, or Cloudflare; streaming technologies such as HLS and DASH; and global-scale, multi-region, or highly available architectures.
