Responsibilities
- Meet with internal stakeholders to understand workflows and translate ambiguous problems into requirements and implementation plans.
- Build and iterate AI-enabled workflows from prototypes through integration, edge-case handling, testing, hardening, rollout, and adoption support.
- Review, debug, and refine AI-generated code and workflows for usefulness, maintainability, security, and operational safety.
- Connect systems across departments and productize workflows that improve efficiency, operational quality, and user adoption.
- Use and help improve shared platform capabilities for observability, evaluation, and secure model access.
- Contribute reusable components, patterns, and workflow solutions to the broader internal AI platform.
Requirements
- Strong engineering fundamentals, including system design, data modeling, APIs, service boundaries, and integration patterns.
- Ability to write and evaluate clear, maintainable code and determine whether AI-generated implementations are correct, secure, and maintainable.
- Ability to turn incomplete requirements or rough prototypes into working production systems and handle integrations, edge cases, stakeholder feedback, and production issues.
- Daily experience using AI coding agents or agentic development workflows, with demonstrated interest in AI through projects, experiments, evaluations, or sustained use of new models and tools.
- Strong communication and requirements-gathering skills, with the ability to work with internal clients, platform engineers, and cross-functional partners.
- Must be based in the United States and willing to work on-site in Austin, Texas.
- U.S. Citizens or U.S. Persons are required for compliance with 10 CFR Part 810, and applicants may not hold non-compliant foreign citizenships.
- Nice-to-have experience includes manufacturing, industrial systems, energy, nuclear, logistics, regulated or audit-sensitive environments, internal tools, integrations, workflow software, operational systems, PLM/CAD-adjacent workflows, quality systems, or AI-driven workflow tooling.
