Responsibilities
- Lead the architecture and delivery of secure, scalable serverless applications on AWS using TypeScript and Node.js.
- Define and evolve platform architecture while driving modernization, performance, resilience, and maintainability.
- Design and operate distributed, event-driven systems using Lambda, DynamoDB, Aurora, S3, and EventBridge.
- Shape and implement AI-enabled solutions with governance, observability, responsible AI practices, monitoring, and compliance.
- Own infrastructure as code using Terraform, AWS CDK, or CloudFormation.
- Mentor senior engineers, influence technical decisions across teams, and communicate complex technical concepts to diverse stakeholders.
Requirements
- Typically 12+ years of experience building secure, production-grade software systems.
- Proven experience architecting and delivering cloud-native, serverless applications on AWS.
- Strong expertise in Node.js, TypeScript, API design, and at least one modern front-end framework such as Angular or React.
- Deep understanding of distributed systems, event-driven architectures, and data stores including Aurora, DynamoDB, and S3.
- Hands-on experience with Terraform, AWS CDK, or CloudFormation, plus Docker and modern CI/CD practices.
- Strong SQL skills, including performance tuning and optimization at scale.
- Understanding of AI fundamentals such as model behavior, prompt engineering, AI safety, and governance, plus experience building or integrating AI-powered systems.
- Experience acting as a trusted technical advisor across multiple teams or product areas is preferred.
- Experience mentoring teams through AI adoption and platform modernization initiatives is preferred.
- A degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Mathematics, or a related field, or equivalent practical experience, is preferred.
