Base Salary

$126k - $189k/yr

Responsibilities

  • Establish and implement new application systems as a lead developer and architect.
  • Design and build horizontally scalable, highly available, resilient, and low-latency applications.
  • Develop enterprise Java full-stack applications, Spring-based microservices, and service-oriented systems.
  • Implement REST and GraphQL services, messaging capabilities, cloud-native applications, and containerized deployments.
  • Develop and maintain CI/CD pipelines and automate contract, API, integration, and unit testing.
  • Perform Oracle SQL and PL/SQL development and physical and logical data modeling.
  • Provide technical leadership and mentorship for teams of five or more developers.
  • Support applications and systems for Citi’s functions and risk-technology organizations.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in computer science, information technology, or a similar field, or equivalent experience.
  • 6–10 years of relevant experience in Java full-stack engineering, including UI/UX technologies and application design.
  • 6–10 years of experience developing enterprise J2EE applications with messaging capabilities, Java, Spring Boot, microservices, Spring, and Hibernate.
  • 6–10 years of experience as a senior developer, architect, or technical lead in a distributed, service-based enterprise environment.
  • Experience architecting highly scalable, available, resilient, and low-latency applications.
  • Experience with cloud-native development, serverless technologies, Docker, Kubernetes, or OpenShift.
  • Experience with service-oriented and microservices architectures, including REST and GraphQL implementations.
  • Experience with Spring Boot, Quarkus, Micronaut, or Vert.x.
  • Experience with software engineering practices, automated contract/API/integration testing, and CI/CD pipelines.
  • Strong knowledge of Oracle SQL, PL/SQL, data modeling, data structures, and object-oriented principles using Java.
  • Preferred experience mentoring teams of five or more developers and working with cloud infrastructure, event-driven architecture, infrastructure as code, quality as code, observability, monitoring, databases, web technologies, and API management.
  • Experience with financial-institution risk technology is preferred.

  • Base salary range of $125,760.00–$188,640.00 per year.
