Base Salary
$250k - $400k/yr
Responsibilities
- Implement and support Python-based services and applications.
- Maintain and improve existing AI/ML solutions for performance and scalability.
- Troubleshoot and resolve system issues as the designated technical specialist.
- Set up systems and implement solutions for ad-hoc data analysis and document-processing exercises.
- Integrate enterprise LLM APIs and develop retrieval-enabled and agentic document workflows.
- Build production services with Python and Django or comparable web frameworks, including APIs, streaming interfaces, and background processing.
- Work with relational databases, including schema design, migrations, and query-performance optimization.
- Collaborate with developers, product managers, business stakeholders, IT security, and architecture teams.
- Identify opportunities to improve the technology stack and promote AI/ML, DevOps, and development best practices.
Requirements
- Hands-on experience integrating LLM APIs from providers such as Azure OpenAI, Google Vertex AI, or Anthropic.
- Understanding of traditional machine-learning models and algorithms.
- Professional experience working with Python.
- Experience with Git, Git-flow, Docker, and CI/CD pipelines, ideally Azure DevOps.
- Experience with retrieval-enabled and agentic document workflows, including hybrid search, RAG, OCR, chunking, source citation, tool use, structured outputs, and document generation.
- Experience building production services with Python and Django or comparable web frameworks.
- Experience with relational databases, ideally PostgreSQL, including schema design, migrations, and query performance.
- Knowledge of Azure Cloud, including AKS, Service Bus, Azure OpenAI, and Form Recognizer.
- Experience with Terraform and infrastructure-as-code tools.
- Strong English communication skills and experience working with cross-functional stakeholders.
- Prior experience in legal technology or professional services firms is preferred.
- Understanding of security and compliance requirements in a professional services firm.
