Responsibilities
- Evolve infrastructure solutions addressing reliability, latency, bandwidth, and security challenges.
- Improve observability, monitoring, and alerting across the platform.
- Coordinate work across company teams to improve execution efficiency.
- Centralize duplicated infrastructure and operational work across developer teams.
- Build scalable tooling to replace manual and repetitive processes.
- Develop an in-depth understanding of product infrastructure needs and guide developer teams on secure, scalable delivery.
Requirements
- Experience with containerization and service orchestration, including security best practices; HashiCorp Nomad, Consul, and Vault experience is preferred.
- Strong knowledge of at least one programming language; Golang, Python, and Bash experience is preferred.
- Knowledge of Linux resource allocation, networking, or system internals.
- Experience with cloud solutions such as GCP or AWS.
- Demonstrable experience with monitoring tools including Prometheus, Datadog, Grafana, or Telegraf.
- Experience with infrastructure as code tools; complex Terraform deployments are preferred.
- Background with configuration management tools; SaltStack experience is preferred.
- Experience using GitOps and CI, preferably GitHub Actions.
- Experience with messaging systems such as Kafka and with database management.
- Data center experience and knowledge of routing and switching protocols are preferred.
