Base Salary

$144k - $194k/yr

Responsibilities

  • Design, develop, and optimize embedded software for Amazon Leo satellite and ground terminal systems.
  • Develop scalable, modular, fault-tolerant software for Embedded Linux and RTOS platforms.
  • Implement and integrate data processing, device control, and networking protocols including TCP/IP and UDP.
  • Debug hardware-software integration issues using logic analyzers, oscilloscopes, and related tools.
  • Collaborate with hardware, systems, and product teams to ensure reliable hardware-software interaction.
  • Conduct design reviews, uphold software quality standards, and mentor junior engineers.
  • Take software from requirements and design through coding, testing, and product deployment.

Requirements

  • At least 3 years of non-internship professional software development experience.
  • At least 3 years of experience designing or architecting new and existing systems, including design patterns, reliability, and scaling.
  • At least 2 years of software development engineer or related occupational experience.
  • At least 2 years of experience designing and developing large-scale, multi-tiered, multi-threaded, embedded, or distributed software using C#, C++, Java, or Perl.
  • Bachelor’s degree or foreign equivalent in Computer Science, Engineering, Mathematics, or a related field.
  • Preferred: at least 3 years of full software development life-cycle experience, including coding standards, code reviews, source control management, build processes, testing, and operations.
  • Preferred: bachelor’s degree in computer science or equivalent.
  • Must be a U.S. Citizen to comply with U.S. government-imposed requirements related to the work.
