Base Salary
$160k - $190k/yr
Responsibilities
- Architect and govern scalable, resilient Kubernetes platforms across AWS, AWS GovCloud, and FedRAMP authorization boundaries.
- Define deployment blueprints, high-availability architectures, multi-availability-zone designs, and disaster recovery strategies.
- Implement DevSecOps, zero-trust security, IAM governance, encryption, supply-chain security, policy enforcement, and compliance validation.
- Build AIOps capabilities, observability using metrics, logs, and distributed tracing, and secure infrastructure for AI/ML workloads.
- Drive infrastructure automation with Terraform, Helm, and GitOps workflows, including blue/green, canary, and progressive delivery strategies.
- Define reliability benchmarks, SLO/SLI frameworks, autoscaling strategies, performance improvements, backup restoration, and disaster recovery testing.
- Implement cloud cost observability, allocation, optimization, and governance across multi-cloud environments.
- Mentor senior engineers, lead architecture reviews and production readiness assessments, and align platform strategy with Security and Engineering.
Requirements
- 8-10+ years of experience in DevOps or Platform Engineering in enterprise or high-scale SaaS environments.
- Production architecture and operations experience with AWS and AWS GovCloud; GCP or OCI experience is a plus.
- Experience maintaining FedRAMP Moderate or High production environments, including monitoring, vulnerability remediation, incident response, configuration management, and audit evidence.
- Experience owning infrastructure patterns and changes within authorized boundaries, including system inventory, data-flow implications, inherited controls, and third-party services.
- Strong experience designing AWS Landing Zone architectures with multi-account governance and guardrails.
- Advanced Terraform experience building reusable, secure infrastructure modules and standardized environments.
- Deep expertise in AWS and AWS GovCloud networking, Kubernetes platform design, and large-scale cluster operations.
- Strong experience with GitOps workflows using ArgoCD and CI/CD automation using Jenkins and GitLab.
- Hands-on production experience with MongoDB, Elasticsearch, Kafka, Redis, and ArangoDB.
- Strong understanding of IAM, encryption at rest and in transit, zero-trust access models, enterprise observability, multi-tenant SaaS platforms, and dedicated workload environments.
- Experience or exposure to service mesh, secure east-west traffic management, and AIOps.
