Responsibilities
- Design, implement, maintain, and troubleshoot scalable Java-based enterprise applications across the software development lifecycle.
- Develop backend services, server-side logic, and high-performance RESTful APIs using Java, Spring Boot, microservices, REST, and GraphQL.
- Contribute to frontend development using React, JavaScript, HTML5, and CSS.
- Design and document application solutions using modern architecture principles, software design patterns, event-driven services, and cloud-native development approaches.
- Develop and automate unit, integration, and end-to-end tests.
- Use Docker for containerization and Kubernetes for service orchestration.
- Participate in Agile and Scrum delivery processes, sprint planning, coding, stakeholder collaboration, and technical community activities.
- Use AI tools such as GitHub Copilot to improve development efficiency and propose AI-enabled product approaches.
- Analyze performance and coding issues, conduct root-cause analysis, and implement defect resolutions.
- Communicate progress, manage escalations, identify and mitigate risks, and streamline recurring architecture, delivery, and operations processes.
Requirements
- Bachelor of Engineering or Bachelor of Technology.
- Minimum 8 years of software development experience specializing in Java, JavaScript frameworks such as React, Spring Boot, and Oracle.
- Strong knowledge of modern application architecture, data structures, and object-oriented programming with Java.
- Experience with service-oriented and microservices architectures, event-driven services, cloud-native application development, REST, and GraphQL.
- Ability to develop both frontend and backend components of robust web applications.
- Experience with JavaScript frameworks such as React, HTML5, CSS, Java, Python, SQL, PL/SQL, relational databases, and Oracle.
- Experience designing and implementing high-performance RESTful APIs.
- Experience with CI/CD pipelines and tools including Maven, Gradle, Docker, Jenkins, and OpenShift; AWS experience is advantageous.
- Experience working with Agile methodologies and project management tools such as JIRA.
- Ability to develop and automate unit, integration, and end-to-end tests.
- Practical experience with version control tools including GitHub Enterprise.
- Practical experience using AI tools to enhance development workflows and awareness of the evolving AI landscape.
- Strong problem-solving, troubleshooting, communication, risk management, and technical collaboration skills.
