Base Salary
$232k - $258k/yr
Responsibilities
- Own the architecture and production scaling of an autonomous customer-support agent.
- Build agentic planning and execution loops, long-term memory, persona and voice capabilities, knowledge routing, and policy enforcement.
- Develop retrieval and reasoning pipelines that search multiple knowledge sources, apply policy-driven tools, and invoke structured workflows.
- Create offline rubrics, simulated scenarios, safety tests, cost and latency suites, and LLM-as-judge evaluations with human review.
- Partner with Product, Design, and Operations on coverage, policy alignment, localization, rollout strategy, and support automation.
- Set technical strategy and quality standards while mentoring multiple pods and coaching senior engineers on agentic patterns, reliability, and experimentation.
Requirements
- 7+ years building production ML/AI systems.
- 2+ years leading complex ML initiatives end-to-end.
- Deep expertise in LLM-driven systems, including inference optimization, prompt and program design, fine-tuning, distillation, LoRA, safety guardrails, and evaluations.
- Experience shipping customer-facing intelligent experiences with measurable impact, including A/B testing and metrics literacy.
- Bachelor's degree or above in computer science or a related field.
- Preferred experience with production agentic architectures, planner/executor systems, memory, multi-step reasoning, and RAG over policy-heavy knowledge bases.
- Preferred experience with large-scale consumer support automation, multilingual NLU/NLG, hallucination mitigation, safety red-teaming, privacy-by-design, experiment frameworks, feature flags, canary or guarded rollouts, and kill-switches.
