Application Security Engineer
Black Duck Software, Inc.Responsibilities
- Design practical customer-ready implementation approaches for application security, quality, and compliance needs.
- Plan, configure, validate, and complete Black Duck solution implementations end to end.
- Integrate Black Duck solutions into SDLC, CI/CD, and DevOps environments.
- Advise customers on vulnerability management, secure development, testing workflows, and operational efficiency.
- Guide customers from initial deployment through active adoption and value realization.
- Communicate delivery progress, risks, trade-offs, and next steps to customers and internal stakeholders.
- Partner with account teams to identify additional value opportunities for customers.
Requirements
- Understanding of application security concepts, software vulnerabilities, or secure development practices.
- Hands-on software development experience in Java, C, C++, C#, or a comparable language.
- Scripting ability with Python, Bash, PowerShell, Perl, or similar automation tools.
- Familiarity with CI/CD, DevOps tooling, and modern software delivery workflows.
- Hands-on experience with enterprise IT infrastructure, cloud platforms such as AWS, Azure, or GCP, container technologies including Docker and Kubernetes, and modern platform architectures.
- Strong analytical, troubleshooting, communication, customer interaction, and cross-functional delivery skills.
- Fluent English and Mandarin language skills are mandatory.
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field.
- Technical consulting, professional services, customer success engineering, implementation delivery, SaaS, on-premises deployments, security testing, network protocols, vulnerability management, or software supply chain security experience is helpful but not mandatory.
- Security certifications such as CISSP, CEH, or CSSLP are helpful but not mandatory.
- Cantonese language capability and experience working with distributed teams are advantageous.
