Responsibilities
- Design, develop, and refine new Android storefront features.
- Locate and resolve application bugs and crashes.
- Brainstorm new ideas and concepts.
- Collaborate with teammates on design, code reviews, and estimation.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s Degree or Advanced Diploma in Information Systems, Computer Science, Mathematics, Engineering, or equivalent experience.
- At least 3 years of experience in a software or technology environment, or 6 years of software development experience in place of the specified degree or diploma.
- At least 3 years of professional mobile development experience, including at least 2 years of native Android development.
- Strong computer science and programming fundamentals.
- Proficiency with Kotlin, Jetpack Compose, and core Android architecture components.
- Understanding of Android application and activity lifecycles, asynchronous processing, platform fragmentation, screen sizes, OS versions, and Android user experience patterns.
- Preferred experience includes Android Java, native iOS development, RESTful APIs, unit testing, Robot Framework UI automation, retail eCommerce apps, GitLab, Jira, and Confluence.
- Candidates must reside in South Africa.
