Responsibilities
- Design and implement end-to-end automation frameworks and testing strategies for complex, cross-team features.
- Own automation roadmaps for one or more modules, including goals, execution plans, and success metrics.
- Build and maintain functional, performance, resiliency, and security automation tools.
- Design scalable test infrastructure for distributed systems, event-driven architectures, and cloud-native platforms.
- Identify testability gaps and drive improvements in automation coverage, performance, reliability, and efficiency.
- Develop AI-first testing workflows using LLM-powered tooling, intelligent test generation, self-healing automation, and agentic QA approaches.
- Advance AI-assisted CI/CD validation, failure triage, predictive quality analysis, observability-driven testing, production validation, and synthetic monitoring.
- Collaborate with engineering, product, platform, and QA teams to support comprehensive coverage and reliable releases.
- Mentor SDETs and engineers on automation design, AI-assisted engineering practices, and code quality.
Requirements
- At least 5 years of experience in SDET contributions, automation engineering, and quality tooling is required.
- Advanced proficiency in testing methodologies, automation frameworks, debugging, and distributed-system validation is required.
- Experience building test infrastructure across multiple platforms and services is required.
- Strong command of algorithms, data structures, databases, and scripting languages such as SQL, Python, JavaScript, TypeScript, or Java is required.
- Hands-on experience with performance and load testing infrastructure, CI/CD pipelines, observability platforms, and monitoring systems is required.
- Deep expertise in API and backend testing is required, ideally with AWS and distributed systems such as Kafka or Kinesis.
- Experience with AI-assisted development, intelligent test generation, self-healing automation, autonomous validation, or agentic QA systems is expected.
- Preferred qualifications include cloud-native QA architecture, event-driven systems, distributed test environments, AI-powered testing platforms, synthetic monitoring, chaos engineering, intelligent release governance, and scalable quality platforms for microservices and workflow orchestration systems.
