Base Salary
$120k - $150k/yr
Responsibilities
- Own technical projects from scoping and design through implementation, testing, deployment, and production maintenance.
- Build reliable backend systems and production-grade REST and gRPC APIs with scalability and fault tolerance.
- Operate and improve production services through monitoring, observability, incident response, and performance troubleshooting.
- Deploy, operate, and troubleshoot services on AWS.
- Design and optimize PostgreSQL schemas and queries for analytical and transactional workloads.
- Translate customer and business requirements into technical solutions with go-to-market and product stakeholders.
- Contribute to analytics, attribution, event-driven data pipelines, instrumentation, measurement, and reporting.
Requirements
- Proven track record owning technical projects end to end in production environments.
- Hands-on experience building backend systems and designing and consuming production APIs.
- Strong practical AWS experience, including deployment, operation, and troubleshooting.
- Proficiency in Python, Django and/or FastAPI, REST API design, and asynchronous patterns.
- Experience with PostgreSQL query optimization and schema design.
- Legal authorization to work in the United States without visa sponsorship now or in the future.
- Experience with analytics, attribution, adtech, event-driven or data pipelines, and instrumentation is preferred.
- Familiarity with ClickHouse or other column-oriented OLAP databases at scale is preferred.
- Experience with Docker, Kubernetes, cloud infrastructure, real-time data systems, Kafka, Redis Streams, or high-throughput API design is preferred.
- Prior experience at an early-stage startup or major technology company shipping production code is preferred.
- A bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or Engineering, or equivalent practical experience, is preferred but not required.
