Responsibilities
- Develop new features, enhancements, and bug fixes for an ultra-low-latency, high-throughput algorithmic trading platform.
- Participate in technical analysis, design, data analysis and mapping, development, testing, and the full project life cycle.
- Collaborate with quants, business teams, development teams, QA, support teams, and global regional offices.
- Provide L2/L3 production support, application testing, maintenance releases, and rapid resolution of production and user issues.
- Contribute to architecture and design decisions, code reviews, software delivery best practices, documentation, and development standards.
- Own deliveries across development, testing, and support, and mentor or guide junior team members as needed.
Requirements
- 8-10 years of experience for the Associate track or 12-16 years for the VP track.
- B.E., B.Tech, MCA, or M.Tech qualification.
- Strong Core Java technical skills.
- Experience with high-performance messaging, multithreading, memory management, concurrency, synchronization, networking, and performance optimization.
- Knowledge of distributed systems, message-oriented architecture, and event-driven systems.
- Experience designing and developing algorithmic trading or other trading systems for equity markets.
- Good understanding of investment banking, capital markets, financial markets, local market characteristics, exchange connectivity, FIX, or algorithmic trading.
- Strong analytical, communication, leadership, self-management, prioritization, and collaboration skills.
