Responsibilities
- Design and implement advanced camera features in Android applications and the Qualcomm CAMX stack.
- Optimize camera performance and image processing to deliver high-quality output.
- Troubleshoot and debug camera features, including Qualcomm CAMX feature implementations.
- Establish requirements, define scope, and architect software for highly complex systems.
- Lead and participate in software development phases, inspections, code reviews, and technical quality improvements.
- Develop innovative software, technologies, solutions, and tools for complex technical challenges.
- Provide technical leadership across engineering disciplines and foster cross-company collaboration.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field.
- 8+ years of software engineering experience.
- Hands-on experience with the Qualcomm CAMX stack, including feature implementation and debugging.
- Experience with Android Camera APIs such as Camera2 and CameraX.
- Experience with image-processing libraries such as OpenCV and Glide.
- Familiarity with multimedia frameworks such as FFmpeg.
- Experience running ML models in camera pipelines on DSPs, GPUs, or similar processing hardware.
- Proficiency in C++; Java is an added advantage.
- Experience with threading, performance tuning, Android Studio, and Git.
- Familiarity with camera-tuning concepts, ML/AI, and CI/CD pipelines is preferred or advantageous.
- Strong problem-solving, communication, teamwork, independent-work, and time-management skills.
