Responsibilities

  • Develop test specifications, test plans, and validation strategies for BESS control software.
  • Build and execute Python and pytest automation for control algorithms and embedded software developed with MATLAB/Simulink and C++.
  • Design, automate, and execute SIL and HIL test cases.
  • Configure and operate dSPACE, NI, Vector, and OPAL-RT HIL platforms.
  • Validate closed-loop control systems, MODBUS/MQTT communication interfaces, and real-time applications.
  • Execute and automate UI testing.
  • Integrate validation activities with CI/CD pipelines and Agile development processes.
  • Use AI-assisted tools to improve validation efficiency and test coverage.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, Electronics/Electrical Engineering, or a related field.
  • 6 to 10 years of experience in software validation and test automation.
  • Strong Python-based test automation experience using pytest.
  • Hands-on experience with HIL/SIL testing and embedded software validation.
  • Experience testing control algorithms and working with model-based development environments.
  • Understanding of real-time systems and industrial communication protocols.
  • Hands-on knowledge of Linux systems and Docker containers.
  • Experience with CI/CD pipelines, GitHub, Confluence, and JIRA.
  • Knowledge of the battery energy storage system domain and effective use of AI tools.
  • Preferred: Playwright UI automation, performance and scalability testing, Ansible-based deployment, power systems or renewable energy, grid controls, ISTQB Advanced Certification, and experience with global customers and distributed teams.
